Next Gen National Board
Morgan Brodey (NYC)
Morgan Brodey is the Director of Hospitality for JACLO, a decorative plumbing fixtures company. She spent the majority of her career at Accenture as a supply chain consultant. Morgan received a BS from Syracuse University in 2006, with a dual major in Supply Chain and Marketing. She served on the Board of Syracuse Hillel for all four years of her college career.
Morgan describes herself as driven and is a firm believer that life is about networking. In fact, her interest in ORT was piqued through networking with members of the organization. Morgan is the former Vice Chair of Next Gen NYC and is a member of the National Next Gen Board, and selected to participate in ORT’s National Mentorship Program for 2015-16. She has also co-chaired the first two highly successful Annual Next Gen NYC galas.
Erin Doppelt (Chicago)
Erin is a high energy self-love guru with a passion for people and ethnic food. She works in the health and wellness field in Chicago and leads Shorashim's High School Program in the summers. Erin has been to Israel six times on various trips and travel escapades.
Erin served as a student representative on the Board of Hillel International while in college and continues to support Jewish identity and community by attending AIPAC, JUF and JNF events in Chicago. She currently serves as Vice Chair of Next Gen Chicago. You can find her practicing yoga with a good book in hand and smiling.
Kerry Kertesz (Cleveland)
Kerry Kertesz is a 2012 graduate of the College of Charleston, at which she majored in corporate communications. Kerry has been actively involved with ORT since 2012. New to the National Next Gen Board, she is Chair of Next Gen Cleveland.
Kerry is very active with the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. She serves on the Young Leadership Division board, co-chairs the Ben Gurion Society, and is a co-chair of the upcoming Annual Campaign for the Young Leadership Division. She also serves on the Federation’s Community Relations Committee and is a chairperson of the Women to Women group. Kerry is also the staff coordinator for her local synagogue’s 20/30 group. After staying home to raise her young daughter, Kerry recently returned to work as a Development Associate for Montefiore, the Cleveland area’s top health care service provider for aging community members, guided by Jewish values.
Eduardo Sigal (Los Angeles)
Eduardo Sigal has been involved with ORT America for more than five years. He is currently Chair of Next Gen Los Angeles. His parents, Rita and Pepe Sigal, sit on the Los Angeles Board as well as the National Board of Directors.
Eduardo is active in several nonprofits in the Los Angeles area, including the Guardians of the Jewish Home and FIDF. His work in real estate keeps him busy, as does his MBA program at Pepperdine University; however, in his spare time, Eduardo enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his son, Mateo.
Jori Fine (Chicago)
Jori Fine is a Communications Analyst at Baxter International; she handles global communications and media relations for the Deerfield, IL based healthcare company. Prior to her role at Baxter, Jori worked at Ogilvy Public Relations, a global award-winning PR Network, where she helped clients move beyond traditional communications into new forms of engagement. Jori is a 2013 Indiana University graduate with a BA in Journalism and English, along with a minor in Business.
Jori has worked with ORT Next Gen for almost two years. She serves as the Chair of Next Gen Chicago, a network of young professionals dedicated to improving local communities through their support of education. Along with a dedicated board, Jori works to help drive awareness of ORT through events and volunteer opportunities, and helps to support national and local fundraising initiatives. Moreover, Jori was selected to participate in ORT’s National Mentorship Program for 2015-16 She also co-chaired ORT America’s 2015 Annual Meeting, working alongside Stephanie Halperin (NYC).
David Gottlieb (NYC)
David is a Financial Advisor with Ameriprise Financial, where he focuses on helping individuals and families reach their financial goals without sacrificing their standard of living. David has just recently moved to Ameriprise, and has been in the wealth advisory industry for eight years, two of which were with a large-scale hedge fund.
David was introduced to ORT by a friend from college. He was invited to attend a few ORT social events, and after meeting some lay leaders and staff members, he quickly became passionate about the cause. David was the first Chair of Next Gen NYC, is a member of the National Next Gen Board, and was selected to participate in ORT’s National Mentorship Program for 2015-16. Moreover, he co-chaired Next Gen NYC’s first Annual Gala in 2013, and co-chaired ORT America’s Annual Meeting in May 2014, alongside Nikelle Klareich (Atlanta).
Aaron Kamat (Northeast Ohio)
Aaron is Vice Chair of Next Gen of Northeast Ohio and sits on the National Next Gen Board. Aaron is a wealth advisor at Creekside Financial Advisors, LLC. He provides clients with financial planning and wealth management strategies, retirement planning, and insurance and risk management designed to meet each of his clients's individual needs so they may realize their personal, lifelong goals.
Aside from ORT, Aaron is involved with many other Cleveland organizations. Currently, he sits on the board of the Jewish Federation Young Leadership Division.
Aaron graudated from The Ohio State University with a degree in finance. Aaron enjoys playing golf, traveling, good food and wine, and spending time with his family. Born and raised in Cleveland and huge supporter of the city. Aaron lives on the east side with his wife and two daughters.
Jonathan Lanznar (NYC)
Jonathan Lanznar is a 2015 MBA graduate of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, with a focus in Healthcare Management. Jonathan received his BA from Emory University in 2008. Previously, Jon worked in Brand Strategy Consulting at Interbrand in New York and currently is a Senior Manager of Life Sciences at Truveris in New York.
Jon loves to be actively engaged in the community. He has been involved with ORT since 2008, initially as a member of the National Marketing Committee, focusing on the rebranding of the organization post-merger. Since 2012, he has focused on founding and growing the National Next Gen organization. He is Chair of the National Next Gen Board and a member of the Next Gen NYC Board. Jon is co-chairing ORT America’s inaugural Mentorship Program for veteran and Next Gen lay leaders. He has spoken on behalf of ORT Next Gen at several Annual Meetings, and has published an article about ORT. Jon was involved with his synagogue, BBYO, and Hillel and other Jewish organizations in both college and graduate school.
Leandro Margulis (Bay Area)
Leandro Margulis is the Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Quixey in the Bay Area. Leandro holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management, and an Industrial and Systems Engineering degree from Florida International University, from which he graduated Summa Cum Laude 2006. Prior to university, Leandro attended the ORT Technical High School in Buenos Aries, Argentina, graduating with a technical degree in computer science.
Leandro is the former Chair of Next Gen Bay Area and now serves on its Board. He is co-chairing ORT America’s inaugural Mentorship program for veteran and Next Gen lay leaders, with Jon Lanznar. As an ORT graduate and Next Gen Bay Area Advisor, Leandro continues to speak on behalf of ORT on occasion.
Sherri Nissinoff (Florida)
Sherri is the Chief Operations Officer of a Catering Company. She has a Master’s in Social Work. Sherri’s experience has included retail management, management, and administration, including recruiting and training volunteers, case management, representing an organization at multi-disciplinary team meetings, advocacy in court, submission of reports, and extensive case investigation in order to make recommendations to the judiciary.
Sherri has been a member of ORT since June 2012. She was asked to become part of the leadership of ORT America in June of 2014 as Chair of Next Gen Florida. Sherri is a member of the National Next Gen Board.
Samuel Shapero (Atlanta)
Samuel Shapero is an electrical engineer, working in signal processing R&D at Georgia Tech Research Institute in Atlanta. He completed his PhD in Bioengineering at Georgia Tech in 2013. Prior to attending Georgia Tech, Sam completed his BS and MS at Stanford University. He then worked in Silicon Valley for two years as a Flash Memory Chip Designer.
Sam has been a lay leader with ORT for two years. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the National Next Gen Board, member of the Next Gen Atlanta Board, and a participant in ORT’s National Mentorship Program for 2015-16. Additionally, he chaired ORT's presence at Tribefest in 2014.
Daniel Stochel (Bay Area)
Daniel Stochel is a 2010 graduate of the University of Washington, where he majored in electrical engineering. Dan became an ORT participant about 2 years ago. He liked how the ORT Next Gen Bay Area group gave him a wonderful opportunity to perform some real, meaningful community service while also getting to know some great people. Dan decided to get more involved and joined the ORT Next Gen Bay Area Board after attending the ORT Annual Meeting in New York in May 2014. During the Annual Meeting weekend, Dan visited Bramson ORT College in New York and saw the amazing positive impact that an ORT school can make on the lives of so many kids who need a school to look out for them and their best interests to help them achieve their dreams.
Recently, Dan became Chair of ORT Next Gen Bay Area and is having a great time restructuring and organizing the group so that they can be set up for success for this year and future years to come. Dan wants Next Gen to be an active, known force in the Bay Area community that people know they can turn to if they want to make a difference and meet some great people. He is looking forward to all of the progress they plan to make this year in the Bay Area!
