Real Estate & Construction Industry Chapter Breakfast Event

The Real Estate & Construction Industry Chapter of ORT America held a special breakfast briefing and networking event at the Haworth Showroom, Thursday, June 24. Chapter Board member Barbara Laskin of Laskin Media, Inc. served as the program's host. Robert Garrity of Haworth welcomed the guests to its Park Avenue showroom, the design company's eco-friendly workplace. ORT America's National Executive Director Alan E. Klugman presented the organization's greetings, acknowledging the Chapter's 20 years of financial support of the ORT program in the United States and in the more than 60 other countries of its operation. He gave a synopsis of ORT's worldwide activities, emphasizing that its programs at colleges and schools in the United States are experiencing peak enrollment with over 75% of its graduates finding good jobs in today's competitive economy. The highlight of the morning featured remarks by Dottie Herman, President and CEO of Prudential Douglas Eilliman, who spoke to a capacity crowd about the current residential market in New York, focusing on the challenges and opportunities facing the real estate sector.
