ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY CHAPTER ANNUAL LUNCHEON 2011
On November 1, 2011, over 300 professionals from New York's architectural, engineering, building management, and construction trades paid tribute to their industry's best at ORT America's Engineering & Construction Industry Chapter 2011 Annual Tribute Luncheon, held at The Union League Club.
Lorraine Grillo (President and CEO, NYC School Construction Authority) and Dominick M. Servedio, P.E. (Executive Chairman, STV) received ORT Community Achievement awards, in recognition of their illustrious service to the engineering and construction industry, commitment to philanthropy, and steadfast support for ORT's life-changing programs.
For his many years of dedicated leadership to the chapter, Francis J. Lombardi, P.E., former Chief Engineer, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, was presented with a "Special Distinguished Service" award.
Milo E. Riverso, Ph.D., P.E. (President & CEO, STV) and James H. Jones, P.E. (President, TDX Construction Corporation) served as event chairs. David J. Burney (Commissioner of the New York City Department of Design & Construction), Sharon Greenberger (Chief Operating Officer of the Department of Education), and Iris Weinshall (Vice Chancellor of The City University of New York) made the award presentations.
Proceeds from the luncheon will fund Bramson ORT College's (Forest Hills and Brooklyn, NY) scholarship programs and underwrite business-related curriculum development.
